| Over
thirty-six years ago, COLTON Constructors was begun
by constructing pre-engineered metal structures. Today,
COLTON Constructors is a full service general contractor
utilizing state-of-the-art technology to construct sophisticated
buildings of all materials that are functional, attractive,
and cost effective. Our foundation in metal buildings
has allowed us to excel in the Design/Build project
delivery system.
Successful construction projects are the result
of excellent Owner/Contractor relationships before,
during and after construction. This is a fundamental
philosophy with which COLTON has built its business.
The COLTON management team has partnered with
clients to “provide distinctive and personalized
service from conception through completion.”
Today, a large part of our business is built
from repeat clients. Repeat and referral business
comes from building relationships and trust over
the years through open communication in an “owner
friendly” environment with a high degree
of integrity. Rock solid financial stability,
a ‘proactive’ approach, and our responsiveness
to the owner’s needs, reassure clients that
COLTON Constructors is the right choice.
Our goal is to build your current project, but
we want to be your contractor of choice for your
next project as well. As we learn more about your
business, we encourage you to learn more about
COLTON Constructors, Inc. and the services we
provide. We hope to earn the reputation as your
Constructor of Distinction.

John G. Colton, founder of Colton Building Systems in
1970, started with the concept of providing Pre-Engineered
Metal Buildings as a Design/Build service to Owners,
Architects, and General Contractors. A native Oregonian,
John moved to Phoenix in 1967 to start a partnership
with a Metal Building Contractor. In only three years,
they constructed several hundred buildings throughout
the state. By 1982, Colton had built an additional 3
million square feet of buildings under his own name.
In 1979, Bob Colton joined the firm after graduating
from Arizona State University's Engineering Department
and expanded its operation by offering Full Service
General Contracting which included Commercial,
Industrial, Design/Build, and specialized tenant
improvement services.
The emergence of COLTON Constructors in 1992 reflects
our most marketable feature, “The ability
to combine steel components with General Construction.”
This is exemplified in our success on projects
ranging from using tilt-up concrete and metal
roof, to multi-level steel framed deck with poured-in-place
concrete, finished with offices over production
areas.
Colton has successfully completed projects in surrounding
states including California, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas,
and South Carolina.
During the past three decades, the COLTON name
is synonymous with quality throughout Arizona
and now the Southwest.

G. Colton President/CEO
As a second generation contractor construction has
always been part of Bob’s life working in the
family business from an early age. After graduating
from Arizona State University in 1979 with a BS from
the School of Construction Bob entered the business
and has worked as Field Superintendent, Estimator,
Project Manager and has developed Design/Build projects.
In 1995 Bob became President and took over the day
to day operations of the company. Having a successful
track record completing projects on time and within
budget is extremely important and is why Colton has
such a large following of repeat and referral clients.
Early involvement is a key ingredient, Bob works closely
with clients and the staff of Colton Constructors
to ensure successful projects.
